One day event on studio funding takes place on October 28th

NESTA teams up with Tiga for LGF event

Tiga has partnered with NESTA to host a new event during the London Games Festival that will look at how developers can grow their businesses.

‘Helping Start-up, Small and Medium-sized Games Developers Grow’ takes place on October 28th at BAFTA as part of London Games Festival.

Two keynote political speakers have pledged to attend: Ed Vaizey, MP, Conservative
Shadow Arts Minister (who will give us an overview of Conservative policy towards
helping small and medium-sized enterprises in the games sector) and Don Foster, MP, the Liberal Democrats’ Shadow Culture Media and Sport Secretary (who will outline his Party’s approach towards the games industry).

Other speakers or sessions include:

– Jeff Meek, looking at ‘Creative Accounting for Creative industries’, covering accounting policies, tax planning issues, funding and sourcing grants, financial controls and cash flow management.

– Tim Gatland of Fund 4 Games, talking about successful Project Management strategies and ways of improving use of capital.

– Nesta’s ‘Promoting Innovation’

– Pam Williams, Kuju, describing her strategy for tackling skill shortages through the
adoption of good retention policies

– John Nash, Blitz Games, on improving workforce performance through training

– Richard Clegg, on how to manage your workforce successfully and legally.

Until October 9th attendance costs £50 for Tiga members and £75 for non members. After this the price will
be £75 for Tiga members and £99 for non members.
