More leading studios - including Blitz, Codemasters, EA, Exient, NCSoft and Realtime Worlds - support Government lobbying effort

12 more UK studios back new Games Up? campaign

A total of 15 companies from the UK games industry, including the likes of Codemasters, Microsoft Game Studios, Activision (via Bizarre Creations) and Real Time Worlds have signed up to become key sponsors of the Games Up? campaign, Develop can reveal.

The names join Frontier, Sony and Eidos, whose support was previously confirmed here.

Officially announced this morning, the campaign is an organised effort by the UK games industry to lobby the Government for better economic and education support. Read our previous stories on the campaign’s unveiling here and here.

In total, the Games Up? campaign represents over 200 companies, over 75 per cent of the UK games industry’s developers and publishers – but 15 key companies are driving the effort forward, with support from across the industry backing ELSPA and Tiga’s involvement.
