A4T enters Japanese peripherals market

Acessories4Technology is bringing its 4Gamers PS3 accessories to Japan.

The company says it is one of the first peripherals firms to bring its products to the Land of the Rising Sun, after signing a deal with Sony Computer Entertainment and a distribution partner.

Products include the Stereo Gaming Headset CP-Pro, PS Move and Dualshock 3 Charging Suite, PS3 System Carry Case and Performance Gaming Kit. The latter includes a headset, HDMI cable and controller charging stand.

This is a great opportunity for us,” A4T sales and marketing director and co-founder Bill Sterling told MCV. The one thing I was surprised by is that although Japan is very advanced, in terms of peripherals there’s not a lot going on right now.

There isn’t anyone else doing this. There’s nobody there from Europe, no BigBen, no Turtle Beach and no PowerA. [Japan is] not very well advanced with headsets, so the market is open for us.”

A4T has been working closely with its distribution partner to bring the products to Japan after meeting at the Tokyo Games Show last year.

Sterling added: We have been doing store visits and meeting partners, and are ready to launch phase one for the products into the market this autumn.”
