US publisher Activision has raised its full year outlook after posting a quarterly net profit of $27.8 million.
That figure compares handsomely to a net loss of $18.3 million from the same period a year previously.
Net revenues we up 163 per cent to $495.5 million for the quarter ending June 30, compared to $188.1 million in 2006.
The company has now increased its fiscal year guidance to $1.87 billion in net revenues and earnings per share of 51 cents. Prior guidance was $1.8 billion in net revenue and earnings per share of 45 cents.
According to next-gen.biz, Activision said in a conference call that this fiscal year will be the largest and most profitable in Activision’s history”.
