Almost 60 made redundant at Raven

Activision-owned Raven Software has laid off up to 60 staff today.

The studio, founded in 1990 and acquired by Activision in 1997, this year worked on the Wolverine movie tie-in and only last week saw it’s most recent game – the latest Wolfenstein game – released.

Around a third of its 180-strong workforce has been let go.

In a statement, the studio said: ""With the recent completion of both Wolverine, based on the summer blockbuster movie, and Wolfenstein, the next chapter of the famed franchise, Raven Software is slightly reducing its workforce to better reflect the studio’s upcoming slate."
