Joint venture between Microsoft and Creative England offering up to £50,000 to promising studios outside Greater London

Applications reopen for Greenshoots

Greenshoots, the incubation initiative run by Creative England and Microsoft, has re-opened its call for applications.

The programme enables developers to apply for between £25,000 and £50,000 towards the development and release of a new projects. Successful applications will also receive mentoring, support and opportunities to meet potential investors and publishers.

To date, 17 companies have benefitted from Greenshoots, including Crime Coast developer Pixel Squad and Leamington Spa-based studio Pixel Toys, which demonstrated the first 3D Touch game Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade at Apple’s conference last year.

Greenshoots is open to all independent games developers from the UK outside Greater London. The aim is to fund and support growth for the games industry around the country.
