This year’s Tokyo Game Show saw in its highest number of attendees yet, the event’s organiser suggests.
CESA says its doors had been walked through some 207,000 times.
However, while the announcement implies total attendance figures, the breakdown suggests attendees were duplicated.
The first business day saw 24,764 attendees, and 24,229 the next. The third day of the event, which opened up to consumers, took in 81,469 people, and another 77,185 walked through the doors on the final day.
Together that makes 207,647 “total attendees”, when realistically the figure could be less than 100,000.
Nevertheless, each year the event is measured in the same manner, and shows a rise in attendance. 2010 was the first time TGS has surpassed the 200,000 mark, and a huge leap from the 185,030 attending last year.
