Assassin’s Creed Origins season pass detailed

Ubisoft has unveiled its post-release plans for Assassin’s Creed Origins, including the Season Pass and free add-on content that will be available to all players.

The Season Pass, which is included in all Gold Editions of the game and available to buy separately, will be split into two main sections. The first piece of DLC will be a story-driven expansion set beyond the events of the game where players will fight against an occupying Roman force in a new region. It will also extend the level cap and allow players to carry on their progress. Dubbed ‘The Hidden Ones,’ this will be available in January 2018.

Following The Hidden Ones in March 2018 will be the second DLC pack, ‘The Curse of the Pharaohs.’ This is another story-driven expansion focusing on Egyptian mythology and will see players fight against undead pharaohs, Anubis warriors, scorpions and more. This will also increase the level cap even further and introduce brand new abilities.

Also included in the Season Pass is a pack of 500 Helix credits and an exclusive rare weapon, which will be available at launch, and two add-on packs including a new outfit, weapons, shield and mount will become available in November 2017.

Meanwhile, all players will be able to take advantage of the game’s extensive line-up of free content, which includes a photo mode, horde mode and a combat-free, educational Discovery Tour mode. The latter will take players on a guided tour of Ancient Egypt curated by historians and Egyptologists, and will be available in early 2018. The Nomad’s Bazaar area will also allow players to complete daily quests, while The Trials of the Gods will feature special timed events against Egyptian god bosses.

Assassin’s Creed Origins releases on October 27th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, and will receive Xbox One X support in time for the console’s launch on November 7th.
