Autodesk has been talking up its latest line of products, telling Business Line that it is tailoring its tools to support outsourcing and multi-core processors.
Rob Hoffman, product marketing manager, said the company was aiming to improve its tools to deal with the multifacetd nature of game development and different cultures around the world.
He explained: “Significantly, while outsourcing itself will go up, there is a huge untapped, latent demand for these software products both from a developer’s perspective but also from those entering this field to make a career. This is just the beginning of a big business opportunity unfolding."
Autodesk unveiled the latest versions of its Max and Maya tools in August at Siggraph.
