Buka Entertainment strikes deal with publisher Koch Media

Koch Media has struck a publishing deal with developer Buka Entertainment.

Russia-based publisher Buka Entertainment has confirmed it’s working with Koch Media for its upcoming line-up: Redeemer: Enhanced Edition, 9 Monkeys of Shaolin and Ash of Gods: Redemption. Koch Media – which is headquartered in Munich, Germany – will handle the distribution in selected territories for the three multiplatform titles, making the games available both physically and digitally.

"We are delighted to finally announce our partnership with Koch Media, the leading European video games distributor and publisher," said Artem Studenikin, PR Manager at Buka Entertainment. "We strongly believe that this partnership will exceed all expectations and help us to reach players around the world to let them enjoy our upcoming games on all current platforms."

"We are happy that Buka Entertainment chose us as a distribution partner," added Jörn Fahrbach, head of communications at Koch Media. "Their games fit perfectly in our portfolio, as they are offering multi-platform titles for an attractive price, and we all at Koch Media are looking forward to support these unique titles with our experience both in marketing as well as sales, across the different territories, stores and platforms."

THQ Nordic-owned subsidiary Koch Media recently acquired the Prague-based studio behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Warhorse Studios. On the first anniversary of Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s release, the companies also confirmed that the game has sold over 2 million copies and "won over 30 media, show and sales awards all around the globe". The acquisition – which includes the development studio as well as all intellectual property rights – is considered "a natural result of the previous successful cooperation between Warhorse Studios and Koch Media".
