King to bring its match-three mega hit to Amazon's tablet this week

Candy Crush headed to Amazon Kindle Fire

King’s massively popular match-three title Candy Crush Saga is to make its debut on Kindle Fire devices later this week.

The game will be available from the Amazon Appstore from Thursday (October 17th), although it will appear in some unspecified ‘selected territories’ today.

The game has some 53m-plus active daily players.

“We’ve had such positive feedback from players regarding King’s first Kindle Fire title, Bubble Witch Saga, that we now feel the time is right to bring Candy Crush Saga to Kindle Fire fans,” King’s Tommy Palm stated.

“The Kindle Fire is a great device with which to enjoy the Candy Crush Saga gameplay and, with levels regularly added by the King team, we hope to keep Kindle Fire owners entertained every day.”

Amazon Appstore director Aaron Rubenson added: “We are thrilled that King is bringing their extremely popular title Candy Crush Saga to the Amazon Appstore and across the entire line up of Kindle Fire tablets, including the new Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HDX.

“All Kindle Fire tablet owners can now explore the sweet and colourful world of Candy Crush Saga, giving customers even more ways to engage with one of their favourite games.”
