CEO Dreamland is a new Smash Bros focused fighting game event

CEO founder Alex Jebailey announced a new event called CEO Dreamland that will primarily focus on the Smash Bros titles.

CEO Dreamland will be held at the Wyndham resort in Orlando, Florida, which is the same location as the normal CEO venue. The event will run from April 14th 2017 to April 16th 2017.

While the normal CEO event features all the major fighting games, Dreamland will focus on Smash Bros, with singles and doubles tournaments being held for Smash 4, Melee and Smash 64. There will also be tournament for two Smash inspired titles, Brawlhalla and Rivals of Aether.

"For the past few years, the Smash Community has come to CEO in June and supported the event passionately," said Jebailey when talking to theScore esports. "Now we would like to show the love back and host an event dedicated to all things Super Smash Bros and more for the Florida Community and beyond. This will be an event bringing together the Smash communities and giving them the opportunity to level up before the busy summer season of big tournaments."

Jebailey also confirmed that both Smash 4 and Melee will be returning to the normal CEO event in 2017, and made it clear that Dreamland will not become a replacement for their main competition.
