Counter Logic Gaming hires new director of business development

Counter Logic Gaming has hired John Spiher as the organisations new director of business development.

Spiher is the former marketing director for DXRacer, the chair manufacturer, and is a program director for the Gamers Outreach Foundation charity, which creates gaming set ups and pods and donates them to children’s hospitals.

According to the CLG press release Spiher will be responsible for working with partners and sponsorships, brand development for the organization and players. He will also use his marketing and product knowledge to ensure that the CLG store will have unique products for fans to purchase, with a total revamp coming soon.

In a video introducing Spiher, which can be seen below, the new director of business development said that one area he really wants to focus on is content creation, and getting CLG players to really embrace video content. This strategy has worked out well for teams such as OpTic Gaming, where almost all their players create regular video content alongside competing at the highest level.

"I’m honored to be part of the Counter Logic Gaming family,” said Spiher. “We have so many exciting products and experiences for our fans in the coming months. The real golden age starts now."
