Developer Brain In A Jar closes doors

Brain In a Jar is no more, founder and creative director Carl Dalton has confirmed.

The UK studio, whose games included Indy Car Series, Indianapolis 500 Evolution, Golden Age of Racing and Kart Racer, had been operating for 15 years.

Despite our best efforts we have been unable to secure projects or funding that would enable the company to continue and so it is with a heavy heart that I have closed the company,” Dalton told MCV.

To everyone that we have worked with in the past we send our heartfelt thanks for some truly great times. We did our best. I wish the best for the future of the team in whatever they choose to do next.”

In 2012 the studio claimed to be close to securing a deal with Nintendo for an unannounced title, telling Pietriots that: Wii U is definitely going to be big, and Brain In A Jar would be clever to jump on board this early. Isn’t there a Zelda game coming to that thing? Sign me up, man. Which way to Nintendo Land?”
