EA Tiburon launches fantasy football site

Is this the first game-related step in Electronic Arts’ new nimble attitidue? Its Tiburon studio has taken the wraps of EA Fantasy Football, an online free-to-play service for American football fans.

Accessed via fantasy.easports.com the site has been built from Tiburon’s experience putting together the Madden NFL games for EA.

Explained the studio’s executive producer Jeremy Strauser: "We are very excited to be taking on fantasy football here at EA Tiburon. Given our experience with Madden NFL and NFL Head Coach, we couldn’t be more excited to take on take our knowledge, passion and experience and bring it into the fantasy football world. This is a great addition to our studio’s football roster.

"We are able to leverage our design expertise, art resources and real-world football connections to deliver a great service to fantasy football players."
It’s not yet known what EA’s future plans for the service are, such as plans to take it to other sports or other platforms.
