ELEAGUE announces $250,000 Street Fighter V competition

ELEAGUE has announced that its next competition will feature Street Fighter V. 

The ELEAGUE Street Fighter V Invitational will see 32 of the best Street Fighter V players head to the ELEAGUE studio in Atlanta to battle it out for one of the larger prize pools in the game’s history. 

The top 16 players from last year’s Capcom Pro Tour will all be in attendance, barring any travel issues of course, along with 16 other players that will be invited by Capcom. 

As with other ELEAGUE competitions a group stage will see one group head to Atlanta every other week to play, with the top players making it to the grand finals. Live competitions will be held Friday, April 7; Friday, April 21; Friday, May 5; and Friday, May 12 with live coverage available on TBS and Twitch at from 10 p.m local time. The rest of the action from the day will of course be on Twitch. 

The final will be held on Friday, May 26 with the same broadcast setup that wills see the entire final broadcast on TBS live.
