Former Kumo Lumo team working on new mobile project

Ex-Blitz devs form new Leamington Spa studio Lumo Developments

Former Blitz developers have formed a new microstudio in Leamington Spa called Lumo Developments.

The four-man team, previously known as Team Lumo and working on titles such as Kumo Lumo and Paper Titans, will focus on making games for mobile platforms.

Lumo Developments has raised investment from the Tesseract Interactive SEIS Service to help fund its projects.

The studio’s first title is set to be released during the summer this year, with further details on the upcoming game to be announced soon.

“Team Lumo was so special for all of us, and it was sad to think that we would not get to work together again," said founder Steve Stopps.

"Our shared passion for innovative and beautiful games ultimately kept us together, and has led to our new game.”

Kumo Lumo designer Jonathan Evans added: “This is something that we have always dreamed of doing, but seeing those hopeful conversations and crazy plans turn into reality is fantastic. To be working with this team, on a wholly original new game really is a dream come true.”
