Fable dev and Angry Birds publisher among Top 50 UK Mobile Innovators

The creator of the Fable franchise and the publisher of hit mobiles games such as Angry Birds and Cut The Rope have been highlighted among the Top 50 British firms working in the mobile space.

Another Place and Chillingo were two of the firms included in Mobile Entertainment’s Top 50 Mobile Innovators of 2014, which aims to celebrate the UK-based companies working on mobile apps and games.

Another Place is a London-based freemium mobile game studio. The original team at the studio spent over ten years working on the Fable franchise for the original Xbox, before moving into mobile as the sector began to gather pace in the early 2000s. The studio now works on titles for phones and tablets.

Chillingo is an indie mobile games publisher known for its successful output, including hit titles Angry Birds, The Impossible Line and Cut The Rope.

The firm has also worked with EA, as well as DmC: Devil May Cry and Hellblade developer Ninja Theory on mobile title Fightback.
