FIFA top of UK charts for a fourth week as Evil Within debuts at No.2

FIFA 15 has held off competition from The Evil Within and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel to stay top of the UK charts for another week running.

EA’s sports game made it a fourth week at the top, matching FIFA 13’s success, according to the latestUkie Games Charts, compiled by GfK Chart-Track.

This is despite close competition from the latest horror game from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, Bethesda’s The Evil Within.

The title replaced fellow horror survival game Alien: Isolation in second place, with the latter falling to sixth as sales drop by 70 per cent.

Meanwhile, the second biggest new release last week was Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, which launched on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 at number three.

Warner Bros’ Lord of the Rings spin-off Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor saw its sales halve, falling a place to fourth.

Microsoft’s Xbox-exclusive open-world racer Forza Horizon 2 was also pushed down a spot to fifth in its third week in the charts, while the PS4-exclusive Driveclub drops down to eiggth in its second week.

In contrast, Minecraft: Playstation Edition climbed a place this week thanks to a bump in sales, reaching number nine.
