First Templar SKU gets marketing campaign

Kalypso Media has booked ads specifically to promote the premium SKU of The First Templar.

The Xbox 360 and PC game is due for release on May 6th and the special edition features a bonus in-game level, a double-sided poster as well as a downloadable soundtrack.

A pre-order campaign is currently driving consumers towards the special edition with online and print ads in specialist games publications.

This will extend to site takeovers during launch week, again focusing on the special edition.

Kalypso is confident the game will appeal to a broad range of gamers, thanks in no small part to its focus on two-player co-op and the popular Templar mythos, which has been prominent in games such as Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed.

There is a huge third-person action adventure fanbase out there and people love to dig into the mystery surrounding the Templar Knights,” Kalypso’s head of PR Mark Allen told MCV.

With the success of other titles in this genre and setting, we believe that The First Templar will be a very popular choice for core gamers looking for their next action fix, or more casual gamers looking for an entertaining and challenging game experience they can share with their friends.”
