Yorkshire-based indie Four Door Lemon has revealed that it is handling development for the PlayStation Vita versions of Joe Danger and its sequel.
The two games are due for release in the second quarter of 2014 and will include all of the content from both Hello Games’ 2010 hit Joe Danger and its 2012 follow-up Joe Danger 2: The Movie.
Four Door Lemon was founded in 2005 and has collaborated with other developers on the likes of New Star Soccer and Oddworld: Much’s Oddysee HD.
"We’re big fans of Joe Danger and Hello Games, and having the opportunity to bring our favourite daredevil to the Vita was a dream come true for us," said founder Simon Barratt.
"I have been hoping Sean would ask us to bring Joe to Vita for a long time now as the blond of classic skill-based gameplay and humour is a perfect fit for the device. We can’t wait for fans to be able to experience the Danger on the go."
Hello Games founder Sean Murray added: "Joe Danger is incredibly precious to us, and there are very few people we’d trust with our baby. Simon and his team at Four Door Lemon have a well proven track record, especially on the PlayStation platform.
"This is a great example of UK indie developers working together, helping each other to build something fantastic. It’s an ideal fit."
Hello Games has just announced its next project will be procedurally generated sci-fi title No Man’s Sky.
