A mix of new content and donated profits buoy Armistice fundraiser

Game studios team up with War Child for Armistice fundraiser

War Child’s Armistice fundraising campaign has been joined by several game-makers who have created war or politics based titles, either by adding elements to their games or donating a portion of their sales to the initiative, which is looking to support children affected by conflict worldwide.

Wargaming, Ink Studios, Positech and Blackmill games are named as supporters of the initiative, which War Child hope will become an annual event that’ll see more games studios to "raise awareness and money for children living with the brutality of war", promoting peaceful gameplay.

Democracy 3 will be donating its net income for the week starting November 21st, 1979 Revolution: Black Friday will be donating its net income between November 28th and December 2nd.

In terms of new content, World of Tanks will be selling packs of peace emblems with all proceeds going to charity. Prices range from $1.99 for a pack of three and $4.99 for a pack of ten.

Verdun 1914 will be reprising its usual Christmas ceasefire but expanding it into a full DLC pack entitled Christmas Truce. Focussing on, as you might imagine, the Christmas Truce between the French, German and British soldiers in 1914, you’ll be able to play football matches, snowball fights and even exchange Christmas cards.
