Google Play announces finalists for European leg of its Indie contest

Google Play has announced 20 finalists for the European corner of the Google Play Indie Games Contest. The competition finalists will be showcasing their games at London’s Saatchi Gallery on February 16, where attendees will judge their top ten game.

It’s a competition that could provide a meaningful boost to any game selected as the top ten games from that event will be presented to the a final jury to determine the overall winner, with winners getting a variety of prizes — including advertising credit on Google’s myriad services and special placement on Google Play — that’ll help to boost the profile of the text.

The competition received over 1,000 entries from across Europe, and the team behind the contest at Google has played each entry, revealing its choices for the final stage of the contest.
