Happy days for NCSoft after Sony deal

MMO specialist NCsoft has emerged on a high from E3, having announced a major new agreement with Sony.

The deal will see the company produce a number of titles for the PS3 and PSP, based on new and existing IP.

We’re delighted with what we’ve just signed,” CEO of NCsoft Europe Geoff Heath told MCV. As soon as we get details of the new titles we’ll start announcing them. At E3 we had a huge response from a lot of the journalists who came along after the event.”

Heath added that the new titles from NCsoft, which produced GuildWars and Lineage, would differ from its previous work.

Obviously the type of game we are working on for PSP and PS3 is different to that for a PC audience, so we’re just seeing what would work best, how we could possibly adapt or how we could develop new content and go forward from there," he said.

"We have not declared a certain number of titles. We’re basically not limiting ourselves.”
