Haze and Splinter Cell Conviction delayed

Despite suggestions

last week

that Ubisoft’s highly anticipated FPS Haze would indeed make it to retail before Christmas, the latest financial results from the firm confirm that a 2008 release is now on the cards.

No firm release date has been given beyond saying that the game will arrive in the firm’s financial fourth quarter, which ends in March.

In addition, upcoming stealth sequel Splinter Cell Conviction will now not arrive until April at the earliest with the confirmation that it is not scheduled for release until Ubisoft’s fiscal 2008-2009 year, which begins on April 1st.

However, there was some good news for next-gen shooting fans, with the official confirmation that Tom Clancy’s Rianbow Six Vegas 2 will arrive before the end of March.
