Square Enix has said that the first parts of its upcoming Hitman game will be released on March 11th 2016.
The game was originally due out in December but was last week pushed back to next year.
As has been previously detailed, the game will be released in bits. The launch content will include three locations – Paris, Sapienza and Marrakesh – and six campaign missions. Also included are around 800 possible targets from which Contracts missions can be constructed.
Live content, such as weekly challenges devised by developer IO, will also launch on this date.
An additional sandbox location will be released each month through April (Thailand), May (USA) and June (Japan), all of which feature additional missions and Contracts, as well as additional game content.
So, how’s the pricing? Less staggered and flexible than the release schedule, certainly.
The March content will cost you $34.99. Should you then want the rest, that’s a single additional fee – $29.99. However, players can alternatively just pay $59.99 up front to get the access to the lot as and when it’s released.
UK prices haven’t yet been confirmed.
