Humble Bundle Mojam raises $450,000 for charity

The 60-hour humble bundle Mojam has raised more than $450,000 in donations for charity.

The game jam, which saw the Mojang Specifications team create a game in just under three days, saw 80,000 people contribute funds.

Three games were made; including the Minecraft team’s own ‘Catacomb Snatch’, a steampunk RTS shooter, whilst Oxeye Studio and Wolfire Games also joined in during the event to create two titles named Fists of Resistance and The Broadside Express.

Averaging donations of more than $5 per person, the money raised will be donated to charity’s Child’s Play, Electronic Frontier Foundation, Charity: Water and the American Red Cross.

The top ten donators are to receive a signed art print from Catacomb Snatch, as well as the opportunity to play with the Mojang team on a private Minecraft server.
