German developer looking to hire 50 new staff this year as it prepares for multiple new releases

InnoGames revenue hits €100m as mobile income doubles

Forge of Empires studio InnoGames saw its revenue grow by a quarter last year, as its mobile business boomed.

The studio generated €100 million in 2015, a 25 per cent jump on the previous year.

This was helped along by the company’s mobile titles, primarily Forge of Empires, which doubled their revenue compared to 2014.

InnoGames is currently hiring for 50 new positions for its German offices.

“Thanks to the high quality of Forge of Empires’ cross platform approach, 60 per cent of the game’s players are now using the mobile apps,” observed CEO Hendrik Klindworth.

“Although InnoGames plans to further focus on mobile in 2016, we do still see a great demand for browser games as well. In fact, our successful launch of the browser title Elvenar in 2015, along with having another profitable year for our older browser titles Tribal Wars and Grepolis, proves that the platform is still popular.”

On the firm’s recruitment drive, he said: “We are still putting a high priority on hiring an international mix of professionals to be a globally-minded company, and we know that sustainable workforce growth and fair play towards our employees, players and partners have always served us well.”

“The significant increase in sales and our once again profitable balance sheet show that we are moving in the right direction with our mobile strategy,” added CFO Markus Lipp.

“We have several mobile titles in development, and are convinced that 2016 will be another highly profitable year in the books.”
