Fallout veteran Anderson hired to head new MMO

Interplay reopens in-house dev studio

Interplay has thrown its hat back into the development ring, reopening its in-house development studio according to a Gamasutra report.

The troubled publisher has also hired former Fallout designer Jason Anderson, a founder of Troika Games, to be creative director on a massively multiplayer title – but not the Fallout MMO that Interplay had already announced.

Interplay CEO Herve Caen said: "As we are working to secure funding for the development of a Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG) based on the popular Fallout franchise, we are at the same time exploring ways to leverage our impressive portfolio of gaming properties through sequels and various development and publishing arrangements."
