It seems like Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition pre-orders are being cancelled at GAME

Gamers are taking to Twitter to lambast GAME after it appears their pre-orders for the Pip-Boy Edition of Fallout 4 were cancelled days before release.

The 100 SKU includes the much-discussed real-life Pip-Boy wearable, and was exclusive to the retailer.

Consumers had to place a 20 deposit to secure their copy of the sold-out version – although that appears to have been in vain.

As spotted by 22cans’ Colin Gallacher, gamers have been tweeting at GAME to complain about their orders being cancelled.

Meanwhile, an image uploaded on Imgur appears to show GAME’s customer service admitting several issues since as early as June.

If accurate, the bloody nose is the third in less than two months suffered by GAME after early purchasers of Metal Gear Solid V’s Collector’s Edition similarly found their orders cancelled days before launch.

This was followed by payment issues surrounding Super Mario Maker, after some consumers were charged hundreds of pounds for the Wii U title.

While processing these orders, a small number of customers have experienced problems that have been caused by their bank or PayPal accounts not allowing payment to go through," GAME said in a statement issued to MCV.

"For security and privacy, they do not share with us why payment has failed.

We would like to reassure all customers that have pre-ordered that their order is still reserved and being held for them. Stock will be secured in our distribution centre until we are able to ensure payment and delivery. This stock will not be released for general sale.

Rest assured, your Fallout 4 Pip-Boy edition is safe.”

Fallout 4 is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC on Tuesday, November 10th.
