Gree’s Knights & Dragons has hauled some $5m in revenue in 30 days on iOS and Android, the company reports.
It’s not the biggest earner on the mobile market – Puzzle & Dragons at its peak earned about the same amount in a single day – but it’s still a significant figure, especially considering the game is a year old.
“Hitting the $5M in 30 days mark was a goal we set for ourselves back in July and we committed to tremendous growth for Knights & Dragons,” said Gree International CEO Naoki Aoyagi.
“Clearly, the teams’ hard work and effort has been successful.”
The game just picked up the “I Can’t Quit You” gong at Google’s first Player’s Choice Awards, so if that’s more than a critic’s opinion then the bragging rights could be in the game’s longevity with its audience.
Knights & Dragons is the result of a 2012 publishing partnership between Gree San Francisco and Vancouver’s IUGO Mobile Entertainment.
“Our relationship with IUGO, a leader in building high-quality mobile games, is a great illustration of how publishing can work and is a template for future partnerships,” Aoyagi continued.
