Konami admits to PES2008 issues on PS3

has listed a number of issues gamers are experiencing with the PS3 version of its latest football sim, Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, and stated that it is working on a patch to address the problems.

A number of problems and suggested fixes are listed. Those experiencing freezes in-game are advised not to partially install the game on the PS3 hard drive, whilst gamers experiencing stuttering gameplay are told to avoid playing the title on a hi-def television.

In regard to the online problems experienced by many, the site suggests: We have uncovered issues which affect online gameplay quality of PES 2008. We are working at full strength to find a solution as quickly as possible. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience”
