Nintendo PR manager heads to Gameloft
Lewis Digby has left Nintendo UK to join French software company Gameloft as marketing and PR manager.
I’ve had the most wonderful four and a half years working at Nintendo and I’d like to thank everyone for their continued help and support,” said Digby.
It has been a real privilege to work for such a professional, highly skilled and passionate team. I’m moving to Gameloft and I’m really excited about the new challenge but very sad to be leaving a company that has been such a major part of my life over the past years.”
Veteran games journalist Martin Mathershas joined Nintendo of Europe as the company’s online editor. Mathers will work with the rest of the online team to help create content for Nintendo’s various websites throughout the European region, working out of NoE’s Frankfurt office.
I’m over the moon to be joining Nintendo, as it’s something of a childhood dream come true," said Mathers. It’s a big move, relocating to a new country, but I can’t wait to get started in the run-up to the launch of the Wii U.”
Previously, Mathers has worked in the video games press for over 12 years and written for dozens of magazines and websites, including launching and editing GamesTM.

West creates new PR agency
Former Jagex communications boss Laura West has launched a new PR and marketing agency, Super M.The company already has Realtime Distribution, Heaven Media and Silverball Studios as cliental.

Perlman leaves Onlive
The online cloud gaming service’s founder Steve Perlman has left his position of CEO and president. New investor Gary Lauder is to become chairman, with former head of OnLive operations Charlie Jablonski becoming COO and acting CEO.
Perlman has created an extraordinary company that no one else could have created. He is a unique entrepreneur and deserves his legendary status in Silicon Valley as a creator of ground breaking companies,” said Launder.
The new OnLive is emerging with greater financial security and a brighter outlook on the future. OnLive is now positioned to execute against longer-term projects with our breakthrough technology, products and services.”
OnLive recently sacked half of its staff and went into emergency bankruptcy measures before Lauder’s investment firm stepped in to buy the assets.
