Intel Developer Blog: A look at what Intel has on offer at this month's Android event in London

Meet Intel at Droidcon London

At the end of the month (29th-30th), the Android developer community will come together once more at the Business Design Centre in Islington for Droidcon London. It’s a fantastic event where everyone has an opportunity to share their experiences, and learn from some of the world’s leading Android experts.

While you’re there, be sure to visit Xavier Hallade’s talk on power optimisation for Android apps, currently pencilled in for 13.45 to 14.30 on 30th October. You might have seen Xavier in the Android video training series on IDZ.

There will also be a half-hour clinic (at a time to be confirmed) on the topic of cross-platform native app development in Java using the Intel INDE Multi-OS Engine.

The Intel booth will be showcasing a range of Android devices based on Intel Architecture, including a few you might not have seen before. There will also be demos of some of the free Intel development tools for Android, and a raffle where you could win one of three tablet devices.

On the first day of the event, before the party, Intel will host a meetup to discuss diversity and how we can achieve a better balance of genders in the developer community.

If you’re going to Droidcon, I hope you have a great time!
