Microsoft cuts 360 price in Japan

The Japanese arm of Microsoft has announced that it is to cut the price of both of its Xbox 360 hardware bundles in Japan and introduce a new pack to try and win over Japanese consumers throughout the busy Christmas season.

Effective from November 1st, the existing Core bundle will drop by YEN 2,000 to YEN 27,800 ($245) whilst the Premium console will drop by YEN 5,000 to YEN 34,800 ($305).

In addition, a limited edition 20GB Value Pack is heading to Japanese retail and will include Microsoft duo Forza Motorsport 2 and Viva Piata. It will retail for the same as the Premium machine, though it will not include an HDMI cable.
