Mino Monsters 2 earns $1.7m in launch month

Mino Games has another mobile hit on its hands with Mino Monsters’ sequel.

Games Industry reports Mino Monsters 2 has brought in $1.7m in its first month out on the App Store and Google Play.

"We see this early success is a validation of the unique approach we are taking to bringing high production quality, original games to the market. Mobile gaming is incredibly competitive, and players are more demanding than ever,” Mino Games CEO Josh Buckley said.

"We’re planning on doubling down with a massive roadmap for 2016. Players can expect many new features including guilds, weekly live events, and a much deeper end-game. We want to lead the way in bringing midcore game mechanics to a wide, casual audience."

Mino Monsters 2 launched October 8th on iOS and Android platforms – the same day Mino Games announced it had raised $2.2m in funding to help market the title, as well as grow the studio for future releases.
