Call for speakers goes out as event is confirmed to run from July 29th to 31st in Brighton, UK

Momentum builds for 2008 Develop conference

Leave a space in your diary – the 2008 Develop Conference and Expo has been confirmed to take place next year from July 29th to the 31st in Brighton, UK.

It’s the third outing for the increasingly-popular event for developers and games industry professionals.

Key themes of the conference are Capitalise (looking at how developers can take advantage of the current generation’s cyclical peak), Specialise (examining cutting-edge technologies), Inspire (motivating, recruiting and rewarding staff) and Enjoy (celebrating the industry’s creativity).

Organiser Tandem Events has also put out a call for speakers.

In previous years the likes of Chris Satchell (Microsoft), Tetsua Mizuguchi (Q? Entertainment), Peter Molyneux (Lionhead), and Richard Garriot (NCsoft) have been key speakers – confirmed sessions and talks are to be confirmed in the coming months.

Those interested in speaking at the event should click here for more details – the deadline for submissions is March 1st, 2008, and talks should fit into one of the core tracks of design, production, coding, business, art, audio and world vision.

The Develop Conference and Expo takes place at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Brighton, UK, from July 29th to the 31st. The Develop Industry Excellence Awards take place on July 30th. For more information on the conference click here.
