UK developer Neon Play says it has notched up its 10 millionth download on the App Store, just 10 months after launching the company.
Five million of those downloads have come in 2011, with Neon Play capitalising on the publicity around its Paper Glider game (pictured) becoming the 10 billionth download from Apple’s App Store. 10 is most certainly the magic number for this firm.
"I’d like to say we’ve launched 10 apps to fit with the pattern but we haven’t," says CEO Oli Christie. "We are on app number 15 at the moment, and have just released a Royal Wedding app, our first departure from games."
Christie says Neon Play has already inked deals with celebrities and consumer brands for apps due to be released later in 2011.
