Heavenly Sword developer uses project management software for future titles

Ninja Theory employs Hansoft

Cambridge-based developer Ninja Theory has confirmed that it is to use production management software Hansoft for future projects, as it attempts to confront the ever-increasing productivity challenges of modern games development.

Hansoft is described as an integrated solution for project management, bug tracking, workload coordination, and document management, and is used by game development teams in 20 countries.

“Hansoft integrated with our existing development processes seamlessly and has delivered solid productivity gains across the whole team,” Ninja Theory’s head of production Matthew Hart stated.

“It provides every member of the team with a complete view of the project and a single place to go for all their allocated work. This has enabled improved communication of critical project information throughout the studio and gives us a much greater ability to effectively manage our projects.”

Ninja Theory, famous for its PS3 title Heavenly Sword, is currently at work on an as-of-yet unnamed project. The studio’s site reads: “Right now we’re working on an exciting new concept that has got everyone we talk to buzzing. We can’t say a lot except that it’s going to be great to work on and should be even better to play! It’ll take all the things we loved about Heavenly Sword and make them bigger and better than ever before.”
