Ninjas in Pyjamas enters Battlegrounds, two players come from Cloud9’s PUBG roster

Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) has picked up a PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds team, with two players from the roster previously having signed for Cloud9’s Battlegrounds squad.

NiP, best known for their former world domination in the Counter-Strike franchise, took to Twitter to announce the signing of the team, comprising of Cloud9 players Adam ‘Cruch’ Escobedo and Drew ‘Sweaterr’ Miser in addition to ‘Borg’ and ‘Ekkz’. You can see the video below, lots of people die in it.

"Today we’re glad to announce our venture in to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the game many of us have that special love/hate relationship with ever since its explosive launch in late March this year," NiP said in their announcement.

"With such a rapid growth in playerbase and millions of gamers dropping onto the island of Erangel every single day, we’re happy to see that this game has struck the hearts of gaming enthusiasts all across the globe. Of course the Ninjas in Pyjamas want to be a part of that journey.

"The Dream big or go home quote comes to mind, it doesn’t get much bigger than NiP, and our dreams have become a reality," Ekkz added.

"We’re honored to be under the same banner with so many legends, and look forward to a great future with our new home and family. Can’t wait to see what we can achieve together as Ninjas!"

What this means for Cloud9’s PUBG team remains to be seen as the organisation has not made a statement regarding the roster at this time, although NiP have claimed there will be a “smooth transition” between the rosters.
