Forbes has named Nvidia as its ‘Company of the Year’.
Citing CEO Jen-Hsun Huang’s work over the last four years in taking the firm to "dominance in the break-neck, highyl lucrative graphics-chip business", the report says the firm’s key role in a variety of industries, including graphics for computer and video games, has helped boost its standing.
Says the report: "This is the age of laptops and desktops that can deftly handle hi-def video playback and video editing, with help from graphics cards that start at $200 and go up from there. This is where Nvidia rules."
Nvidia also provides the PS3 with its GPU.
The firm is set to gross $4bn at the upcoming close of its financial year, with net at $900m, up 50 per cent in four years.
