Mobile monetisation company partners with China Mobile for launch, giving devs access to over 700m customers

Papaya Mobile opens in-app billing for China

Social games distribution network Papaya Mobile has announced a new operator billing initiative, which aims to provide Android app and game developers with a new shot at monetisation.

The company’s new AppFlood SDK is launched in association with China Mobile and allows indies to produce titles that support in-app purchasing, while enabling the Chinese carrier’s 710 million subscribers to pay for IAPs via their phone bill.

The SDK is also integrated into Papaya’s AppFlood cross-promotional ad network, which offers devs the means to monetise their games and apps by buying, selling, and exchanging ads with publishers, advertisers and other developers.

Scottish developer Cobra Mobile’s World War 2 arcade shooter iBomber for Android is the first new freemium game to launch in China using the new billing payment system.
