Pipe Mania returns

Empire Interactive is to resurrect the popular puzzle title, Pipe Mania on a broad variety of platforms.

The original Pipe Mania was initially published in 1989, and achieved sales of over four million units worldwide. It appeared on a multitude of formats, including Amiga, Atari ST, Acorn Archimedes, Acorn Electron, BBC micro, Commodore 64, Commodore 128, Game Boy, Macintosh and NES.

We are very excited to be bringing back Pipe Mania. Releasing this popular puzzle title across all formats will give gamers of all ages the opportunity to enjoy this exciting puzzle sensation,” commented Empire Interactive CEO Ian Higgins.
The new version is said to build on the playability of the original, but will include new game modes, characters, themes and play mechanics.

The announcement of Pipe Mania sees us revisit one of Empire’s biggest brands,” added Silverstar holdings CEO Clive Kabatznik. It’s difficult to put this one down and that makes it perfect for a broad demographic and a multitude of formats. We really keen to extend the reach of one of our most successful IPs.”

Pipe Mania will be released on all platforms later in the year.
