Play and vote: Square Enix Game Development Contest India finalists

After months of preparation and submissions, Square Enix has picked four finalists for its Game Development Contest India 2012, and all four games are now available for everyone to play and vote.

The four finalists are – Cloud Shepherd, an iPad puzzle game by Team Riverside (a group of Students from DSK Supinfogame); The Domingos, a browser-based puzzler; Yet Another Bird Game, an iOS action game from This Way Up; and What a Day, a casual action browser game.

All four games have now been published and are available to play for free. Head over to the contest website to read more about each game and for links to download/play them.

While Square Enix had initially planned to pick eight finalists, four had to be disqualified for various reasons.

On the upside, all four finalists are now assured of cash prizes; the overall winner will get Rs 10 lakhs, two will get Rs 3 lakhs each, while the fourth finalist will receive Rs 1.5 lakhs.
