PlayStation and Channel 4 team up for Uncharted Gogglebox ad takeover

Gamers will have a chance to win Uncharted prizes during tonight (Friday, May 6th)’s Gogglebox.

Sony and Channel 4 have partnered for an ad takeover in the first commercial break for the TV show. This will feature a ‘large’ section of gameplay from the upcoming release.

Then viewers will be able to tweet the answer to a question using the #Uncharted4Live hashtag. The winners will then be revealed live on the air in the final ad break.

Furthermore, the Channel 4 blocks are getting the Uncharted spin too, with 4Creative making a ten second sting of jewels sliding across a pirate map, before the game’s name and the aforementioned hashtag are revealed.

We believe Uncharted 4 is the best-looking game ever made, which is a bold statement and one we want to reinforce,” PlayStation UK group marketing manager Lauren Bradley said.

The ad break takeover with Channel 4 has given us the perfect format for doing so and showing off this extraordinary game to its fullest.

Channel 4 Agency Principal Chris Braithwaite added: We’re thrilled to be able to announce our first ever live Twitter competition. This innovative new ad is sure to engage both PlayStation fans and Gogglebox viewers alike and it’s been great to partner with PlayStation again ahead of the release of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.”
