PS3 Starter Pack axed in Australia

SCEE has announced that the PS3 Starter Pack offer will be terminated in Australia by the end of the month, despite only launching four days ago on August 2nd.

The Starter Pack includes two controllers and two first-party titles for AUS$999.95.

, a marketing e-mail was sent to members of Australia’s official PlayStation website, claiming the starter pack offer would "end on August 31st (or earlier, while stocks last)." There has been no announcement regarding a possible replacement for the bundle.

The Starter Pack bundle will, however, continue to be available in Europe.

"There is no time limit to the Starter Pack offer in Europe," said a Sony spokesperson.
