Bloomberg’s tech reporter Yuji Nakamura revealed that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ daily active users on PC are on the decline, after months of indisputable domination, though the title started to lose players in January.
The information was based on Steam Database’s weekly figures, which also led the reporter to reveal that PUBG has now sold 30m copies on PC. Nakamura released the information via a graph on Twitter:

According to him, Bluehole failing to address the “rampant cheating” in the game is to be blamed for this important loss in daily active users. Back in January, anti-cheat software provider BattleEye banned over 1m players from the PC game. However, the firm said on Twitter that "unfortunately, things continue to escalate.”
The title remains the top game by current player count on Steam and was also the best-selling title on Green Man Gaming in 2017. The title had sold 3m units on Xbox One as of December 2017.
