Ubisoft’s Red Steel 2 will be bundled with Wii MotionPlus this Christmas.
The news was announced during Ubisoft’s E3 press conference last night, and makes sense as the game requires the accessory to work.
When we received advance prototype versions of the Wii MotionPlus, and took some time to see what it could do, we realised that it was the solution we needed to make the new style of gameplay we had been experimenting with work,” commented creative director Jason Vandenberghe.
It’s an integral part of the game, and therefore Red Steel 2 is Wii MotionPlus exclusive.
We think it’s cool that Red Steel was released alongside the original Wii, which changed so many things about gaming; and now Red Steel 2 will be released alongside the Wii MotionPlus, which we believe again opens up a new world of gameplay.”
Red Steel 2 joins a raft of software that will come bundled with the Wii MotionPlus, including Nintendo’s Wii Sports Resort, EA Sports’ Grand Slam Tennis and Tiger Woods 10.
The game is due to hit shelves before the end of the year.
