Organisers of the Edinburgh Interactive Festival have announced that SCE London Studio will be delivering the second-day keynote at next week’s event, with SCE Worldwide Studios VP Jamie MacDonald, director of the Home platform Peter Edward and SingStar executive producer jointly hosting a session that looks at social networking and creative gameplay.
The three will look what services provided by SingStar, Home and online game play mean for developers, publishers and consumers – presumably with direct reference to the upcoming SingStar PS3 game and online world Home.
Macdonald commented: “We are delighted to be part of the Edinburgh Interactive Festival for 2007. The festival has become an important annual event, bringing together creative and commercial aspects of the interactive entertainment industry, and providing a forum to showcase and discuss new trends in our ever evolving industry.”
Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft and BBC Vision’s Simon Nelson are other key speakers.
