Search for a Star looking for industry judges for this years competition

Search for a Star needs you! The competition from Aardvark Swift’s Grads in Games initiative is looking for experienced programmers, animators and artists to help assess the work submitted by students for the next Search for a Star competition.

Starting on September 15th, 2017, Aardvark Swift will be asking judges to assess submissions from students across UK and European universities. You can receive as many or as little as you like although there is a limit of 10 pieces of work every two weeks.

Last year over 800 students registered for the competition. This year, while the aim is bigger and higher, help is still needed to look at submissions. This will help the students with industry feedback on the basics of their chosen path and give them the ability to improve their work.

Needed for assessments are programmers, character artists, environment artists, VFX artists and animators. Experience in the industry is necessary as you will be helping students in developing their skills with your feedback. Judges and studios that wish to join in will be listed as contributing partners to the Grads with Games initiative and will also get invites to the Finals Day showcase events that are held towards the end of the university term
